With the substantial increase in solar power stations, the risk of fire is high due to the complexity of the installation environment. 

More than 80% of power station fires are caused by faults on the DC side. 

If the DC high voltage cannot be shut down, there will be a risk of electric shock on site. 

Therefore, before the fire response, the power station operation and maintenance personnel need to shut down the solar system and cut off the power supply to ensure the safety of firefighters and the stability of the power grid. 

The rapid shutdown (RSD) function came into being.

According to the market environment, Xiamen Yoshi Metal began to launch the RSD system and the optimizer system.

Rapid shutdown (NEC) 2017/2020 requirements   

Controlled conductors located inside the boundary or not more than 1 m (3 ft) from the point of penetration of the surface of the building shall be limited to not more than 80 volts within 30 seconds of rapid shutdown initiation. 

Voltage shall be measured between any two conductors and between any conductor and ground.
